Calling Spring
I miss spring.
I miss wearing peep-toe shoes and the cycle of getting pedicures on a regular basis. I miss the blossoming flowers and the grass turning green instead of the dirty, brown slush that used to be snow.  For me, the Easter holiday always marks the return of Spring and as a little girl, my biggest treat was buying an Easter Sunday dress.
Now, I am older and no longer go through the bells and whistles for Easter celebration, but a colorful dress always signifies spring weather to me.
I am feeling a sense of this when looking at pieces from Chicago-based designer, Jess Audey, and her Audey line. Jess is also part of the Chicago Fashion Incubator program (a yearlong mentor ship that assists up-and-coming designers) and is a graduate of Columbia University Chicago.  Her “About” page describes the look and feel of her cocktail dresses perfectly:
Dresses that are at once whimsical and romantic while maintaining the highest level of quality.
Looking at her S/S 2010 Preview pictures makes me wish spring would hurry up and arrive so I can wear my cocktail dress and peep-toe shoes.

Hi darlin- wow- this Chicago Fashion Incubator program sounds amazing. I love any program that will help new talent!! Lovely lookbook as well. I want to BRING SPRING right now
I think the program is great and a wonderful way to groom up-and-coming Chicago designers. Hopefully we won't have too many more of these dreary days left!
Oh I just adore pretty dresses as these. I absolutely love the last dress… and the one before it in monochrome… eee! I too wish Spring would come around sooner

I think that last dress is my favorite by far! Very cute and just love the color!
Ooh I adore those, especially the last one! We had a tease the other day, the sun was shining and it was actually a bit too warm with my coat on. Twas not to last, this is England of course! But it was nice to have it.
Great program, there should be more of those!
I started at the gym this week! After my trial session they weighed and measured me so I can gage my progress. I didn't even look at my measurements but I did see the scale. OMG. How I didn't faint I don't know. But at least now things can only get better. My first day was on the spring-like day and my spirits just soared.
How are you doing?? ♥

I love those days where you get a tease and you remember what warmer weather feels like! It's just all snatched away too quickly, though
And congrats on starting at the gym!! That is the first big step and it'll only get better from there! You'll be where you want to be in no time! I'm rooting for you!
I am doing better as well. Went back into the gym this week, too! Supposed to be taking some bootcamp class on Saturday and a it scared, but I'm determined to go!
Try topshop out, but remember find items that stretch. That is the only way I can shop there because a lot of things are tiny.

I love Audey! I saw her collection on the runway during Chicago's Fashion Week. So fun, so gorgeous. And agreed, they definitely remind me of spring!
